From Mortec.com:
"14102193...87-up...305/350......1.94"/1.5" valves"
(1.94"diameter intake valve head, 1.5" diameter exhaust valve head)

No combustion chamber volume was listed, but I'd think they're somewhere in the 64CC range if they were used on 305's & 350's.

Those are the "swirl port" heads used on Throttle Body Injected 305's and 350's. They are "okay" for a daily driver or cruiser but are not a great high perfromance head especially above about 4,000 RPM. Good heads for a heavy car or truck, they should deliver good throttle response and fuel economy if used with a near stock cam and 4 barrel intake. They have 64cc combustion chambers so they need a dished piston in a 350 to keep compression down. The engines they came on had electronic fuel injection and computerized timing with knock sensors so they could get by with higher compression.

They will bolt to your block. But you must use an 88 or later style intake manifold.

okay i think i got most of my questions answer regarding heads. one more advise from you experts out there. I had a 283 block rebuilt about 2 years ago with 350 parts. i did not know it was a 283 until i had completed the rebuilt and installation and all the parts where purchased for a 350 unknownly. i just purchased a rebuilt 4-bolt main 350 long block. due to shortage in funds, i plan on using my accesseries which i used on the 283 for the mean time. accesseries inlcude, lifters, push rods, oil pump and distributor. the distrubutor is equipped with Frame Trower equipment. Should i proceed with my plans or should i cancel and wait.

.
How did you get 350 parts into a 283 block?

I believe that you are mistaken.

No, bought the parts at the local autoparts. at the time, i though my block was a 350 so i requested 350 parts. when the engine was complete and operational i noticed i did not have the power i should have an a 350 so i inquire using the engine block id number and to my disappointment, found out the block is a 283. all the parts fit well and the engine runs smooth, but no where near the power of a 350. very low torque. you might wonder why i did not know, it is because i had just purcharsed the car from a friend. the car had 350 emblems which mislead me.
