Post Engine Horse Power Factory.

ARe 3970010 blocks good or not. I was told It had 255 to 375 factory the suffix number is vo622tkf . I was told it was a 2 bolt main but the last 3 the first one started with T for truck it means it a 4 bolt mains But the man said it was a 2 bolt main so I removed the oil pan and it was 4 bolt main. If the First 3 letter of suffix start with a T or V Is it a 4bolt main I this true all the time.

These are the same numbers you had me look up for you. You can`t make this engine into something it is not, by asking over and over again. Please go to www.mortec.com, tons of good info there. Just spend some time studing it all for awhile. Then if there is something you don`t understand, such as casting dates, suffix codes, vin #`s come back here and ask for help. Study up!!!!!

Im going to make this as simple as possible, all 350 blocks are good, some are better than others, the best blocks will have 010, 020 or 010/020 stamped on them in the timing chain area of the block.These are high nickel content blocks. Nova if i was you i wouldnt worry about getting a great block, all your going to need is a 2 bolt main with ARP bolts for insurance.

3970010 casting numbers can be 2 or 4 bolt blocks,but most Truck and Buss blocks with that number were 4 bolt.
VO622TKF stands for,, 1975 350cid 145hp 2 bbl van or bus c-10 and 1500 trucks ,,,or 1978 350cid 165 hp 4bbl c-10 1500 truck van or Buss.

0622= June 22

eight90, this is exactly the info i sent to 70 Nova by p.m. It`s time this guy started doing some of his own work on finding out this stuff. I don`t mind helping, but it is not necessary to have the same questions ask over and over. I try to help everyone i can, however 70 Nova is gettin close to my enore list. 70NOVA If you can`t find what you need to know P.M. me and i`ll see if i can send you to a place to find out. But ya gotta start doin this stuff your self.2 penny`s worth. Slider in Wa.
