Personally, I'm skeptic about the manifold plate on at aluminum manifold. I used one on my 350 but it had the cast iron intake and I left the tranny in. I now have one of those engine load levelers that I bolt to the corner of the heads. I will never pull an engine any other way. Makes it an easy one person job and that's with a BBC and tranny. Now that I'm thinking about it I wouldn't even attempt to pull the engine and tranny with a manifold plate. As soon as the tranny comes off that crossmember it's going to put the assembly at about a 45 degree angle. You can get the engine load leveler at summit for about $65. I think I got mine at harbor freit for about half that. An equipment rental place may even have one.
