Does anyone know if they make a square/rectangle flanged header for a BBC? I would certainly and gladly change mine, I have just not done any research and the two sets I picked up were "the right price".

These are the stock GM 336781 heads that have the intakes and bowls ported and polished.

Hmm, 9 months for this thread.....................

Comp has had serious lifter problems in the last couple of years, mainly with their hydraulic roller pieces. It's entirely possible you have a bad lifter.

Or cam going flat.

Well, even if it turns out not to be a header leak, I have found square header flanges for many applications including your SBC and my BBC.

Victory Header Flanges, makes most any configuration imaginable, and for a BBC square set $65 is not a bad deal at all.
