I would have loved to have seen and heard this thing. I wonder what happened to it...hopefully it's in a museum somewhere.

Sad to see so many of these outrageous rods go into the sunset. I'll bet there are still a few sitting in barns somewhere; though some were parted out, some crashed, and some were just cut up.

I never got a chance to see Big Al run, but I'll bet it was like most of the other Allison drag cars....way too much power for the tires! I saw a couple of Art Arfons' Green Monster cars run. They smoked the entire quarter, but weren't all that fast. Most fuelers could out run them. But it was all about the show.

I saw Tommy Ivo's 4 Buick dragster run; it was a big smoker too; but not very fast. I think it's still running exhibitions today. I'd rather go to one of the "Cackle-Fests" that the old time fuelers have. That would be awesome.
