Engine Paint on Valvetrain...
Okay, I painted my SBC heads tonight and masked the important stuff, like ports and valves, but a couple valves did accidently have a bright new hue applied to them? This won't hurt its ability to perform rite? Thanks for any help, I know its a dumb ques.

Nope. The paint will burn off the first time the cylinder fires.

Well if its not Chevy Orange paint the engine can reject it,much in the same way a human can reject the wrong blood type.This could lead to serious problems.

 j/k...The engine will be painted chevy orange, don't worry. However, the heads are a really nice looking aluminum color.

...Blue paint typically adds another 50 HP...
...and if your ready for the big leagues, try yellow...the power will blow your socks off.  :p

4Jaw. I painted my block blue. Those extra 50 really help out. Can't imagine how crappy this 305 would run without it. lol
