Engine pulled apart

My friend has his car here at my place to fix up and we pulled his SBC 305 out about a month ago and he originally was going to get a 350 or 400 SBC. well he didnt have the money or way of getting one home. so hes just gona re-ring this engine and new bearings and such. I told him to mark the pistons and put all the bolts in bags and mark them so he knows where everything goes... well he never mark the pistons and puts all the bolts in 1 bag

Does it matter which cyl the pistons go back in? and how hard is it going to be to find where all the bolts go back in? lol

A machine shop can match them up for you, the engine should be machined anyway. YOu can look at the caps and match them up yourself, but its a bit tricky.
