engine re-paint por 15 ???

hello, I painted my 360 last yr, well getting ready now to drop it in, but it has some scratches and other bad spots from assemby on the fall it took off the stand, anyway its painted with the POR 15 system, can I wipe it down with prep-solv then with laquer thinner and re-shoot it? or will it need scuffed ect........

has anyone did it ?

any suggestions please

I have never used Por15 for final finish, just for rust protection. However, I know Por15 itself is not paint in the classical sense but a urethane coating that cures in the presence of moisture. I would contact them for advice on how to patch damage to that coating. If you are using a solvent based engine paint (I think they offer those now don't they?) then you should be able to re-coat it just like you would any premium paint after proper surface prep.
