engine rebuild

I have built a few sbc but never changed rod length. Can someone tell me the advantages of going to a 6" rod and or 5.7 rod?

low horse power engines,not much advantage.If long rods were vastly different(better) then we would all have dodges

I agree with vinnie if u going crazy and turning alot rpms then do it if u going cheap no need to hp gains on low rpm are mininum if any but does help on few other areas but not enough unless u making big hp and big rpms but most just think its cool to say I have 6 inch rods or whatever size is in there
