Engine rebuild ...... Help

Hello,

I am looking into some options for my engine.
First I was planning on getting a new ZZ4 engine to put in my 75 Corvette but from what I hear I would be better of rebuiling my current engine. 5 ( I am going to race with it, at least not on the track :-) )

Can some of you engine builders help me on what I should get to make a good engine ?
I am looking for 400 - 440 Hp.

The engine that is in it is a stock 350 .

Here is what I was thinking of myself ( But I am a newbie at this so..)

A complete kit crank and pistons ( http://www.sdpc2000.com/cart.asp?act...tart&catid=450 )

A Hot cam kit
And GM fast burn aluminum heads.

Please give me your advice on this since I don't know anything about it..

Thanks

You can buy a complete Fastburn 385hp 350 for around $4200. With the optional camshaft the hp goes up to 430. These are strong running crate engines.
