I have a '63 caddy with an Edelbrock Performer carburetor.
The car ran fine the first year that the carb was on (last year)
Now when it warms up the car will suck all the gas out of the fuel filter, remain running just fine, but stall when put into gear.

However, once the car is moving, it will travel at any speed but will obviously bog under full load.

This only happens when car is at running temperature, the fuel filter and pump have been replaced, Timing and ignition as perfect. I notice excessive pressure coming out of the carburetor inlet hose when I disconnect the fuel filter. No vacuum leaks, all hoses are fine, there are no emissions devices on the car.

This problem has me completely stumped, please help!

Dirt in the system or maybe dried fuel varnish from sitting.

Make sure the fuel pressure is 5-5.5 psi max at idle before you do anything else. Edelbrocks like lower pressure than other carbs.

It could be that there is enough fuel getting to the carb to just barely let it idle, but when under load the there just is not enough fuel to keep the fire burning.

Though I think it's too much fuel pressure as you said the issue shows up when warm. Your engine might be able to drink the excess fuel when cold, but not when warmed up.
