Ahhhhh........you didn't mention new cam..............

If the cam has never been run.......you need to run it at 2000 rpm plus for 20 min or so. He does have a point. When a new cam is installed, they put on a breakin lube. Hopefully, it hasn't all fell off of it........

You may want to check this out. The easiest way might be to pull the intake and pull the lifters out. You can then see the cam lobes. Putting some breakin lube sure wouldn't hurt.

After running it for a short time, change the oil
