engine swap

any reason not to use my spare 305
from the cutlass in the 92 tbird ?

Is anything wrong with the motor in it now? Other than the fact that the T-bird is Ford and your 305 Olds, which is a chevy brand? I'm not all that familiar with swapping engines between brands but I'm almost certain you'll have issues with the motor mounts and maybe some other miscelanious stuff like accessories (A/C, power steering etc) which I'm almost certain have different mounting points between Ford and Chevy motors.

It is not compatible with Ford Dust and will go kaput.

LOL he's right, never thought about that. The distributors are all wrong for each other. Just rebuild the T-bird motor. )
