engine swap

I have a 49 chevy 3100 pick up. I plan on putting a 350 in it do they make motor mounts to do this or is this something I will need to fab.??? and if they make them can someone tell me where to purchase them.

That's not even necessary. Simple swap mounts are available. I think Chevs of the 40s sells them.

steering gear

It was years ago but we used a piece of 3 X 3 x1/4 angle iron to move the steering gear over for more clearance.
