I'm seeking any info on swapping a ford or sbc onto a mid seventies mercedes 230 or 240d sedan. I have heard it done with a ford 351w ( in CA of course ) but don't have any other details. thank you.

I am presuming you would want to retain the transmission if it is an automatic. The transmissions on those cars are just about bullet proof. I doubt that a stick would hold up under the increased power. So your problem is to find an adapter, which I know nothing about. Then you will have top solve the motor mount and clearancing problems as we all do with motor swaps. I would search the i-net for MBenz sites and ask for help.
