Engine swap? TPI in a 1979 Camaro

Hi folks,
a friend of mine has a big problem with his old Chevy 350 SB. A piston is broken. He looked here in germany for a swap engine and found a 350 TPI from a 1991 Camaro from another friend of mine.

So our questions are:

- do the TPI engine fit to the "old-style" Dynomax headers in the 2. Gen Camaro? Are the engine mounts the same? I think there was a change at 1986 or so????

Do we need to install a oxygen sensor in the exhaust to get such an engine running? Or is there a way to make the engine so "naked" to make it running with a less of electronic? It cames with all sensors an the ecu.

Yes it would be easier to swap with an identical engine, but the price is awesome and I know the car since a few years where it is from.

exhaust bolt pattern is the same
motor mount bolt pattern is the same. the mounts themselves might be the same too.
you need to run an oxygen sensor. not a big deal to add one to the headers

A new question about the electronic side of the swap.

Is there anybody who has the diagram for the ecu unit? I know how to convert the sensors to the old gauges, but I do not know how to connect the ecu stuff to the starting system and the rest.

And what about the fuel pump? I read a few things about the swaps, but often was a intank-fuel-pump used. The old camaro has the "manual" puel pump on the block. Can we use that in that way to at the TPI?

the mechanical fuel will not work, it doesn't build enough pressure for
a fuel injected motor.
for TPI, you will need a pump that can produce enough volume to run the motor at WOT and maintain at least 50 PSI minimum, 60~70 PSI would be better.
you can modify the fuel sending unit and use an in-tank pump or use an external in-line pump.
a fuel return line will need to be added to the car.

this may help with the swap your planning,
