engine upgrades

ok i have 1500 dollars and i need some opinions on engine upgrades .......my 67 stang has a 93' mustang gt motor in it and it probably has under 300 horses and i was wondering what upgrades should i get to have over 400 horses ... i know it has a ford racing cam but i dont know any specs on the cam ...and it has a k&n cold air system ...any help would be great

You may get alot of different answers but I would go with a set of AFR 165cc or 185cc heads. Which head to get would depend on what you are currently running for a cam and intake. I would guess that you would want the 165cc heads. Below are a couple of sites regarding the heads. There is around a 6 week wait for the heads, but other than nitrous, I dont think there is anything out there that will give you the increase in hp that you are looking for in your price range.

shoestring hopup

I am not a big fan of nitrious (never used it and dont trust it), but that is about the easiest and cheapest initial purchase to get yourt 400 HP, with a 100-125 Nitrious shot, which your production engine should be able to withstand.
