Thanks for that info and a great website. That info sounds more accurate with what I have. I should have grabbed the damn crank casting #.

What makes this site different than what other say?

My DSL has been taking naps lately. I tried to post it earlier but it was nap time again.
I was looking thru the SBC suffixes, if you input Info in more than 1 box it narrows the vehicle results. 1 code may fit several years & models.
Look at any 71 Chevy model then 72up HP ratings, My 71-C10, TBC code =255HP, 72-C10 =175HP it gets worse, as low as 155HP for a 4-Brl LS9.

The Chevy Mania site says my block casting #is a four bolt main, but mines a 2 bolt.

Sometimes the details are incorrect, mistyped etc..
This site says 2-Bolt >> http://www.chevytech.com/2c42o14.html the 3932386 shows 4-Bolt HP.

More info and more confusion. It's like "he said, she said". The info is all greatly appreciated. So this is what I'm going with: I have a '69 Impala Convertible with a '69 replacement 350ci/255hp (that was originally supposed to be a 327/350hp '65 vette motor) with '69 passenger heads. 2 bolt main

What do you guys think about this setup with a Weiand dual plane intake, Holley 570cfm Street Avenger, and headers? The carb was going to be used on another project (283) but those plans fell off so I will throw it on top of this motor. I think the 570 will limit the upper RPM powe,r but shouldn't it give me some low end grunt? I will definitely get a better carb that can give me both when I get back to the states.
