Thank Shorty... good advice!

When I spray the epoxy, it's going to be a 2-3 weeks before I get back to finishing. Does that change anything or would you still give the same advice before high build primer, "skuff it with 180, or 320, or red Scotch-Brite"?

Yep! You've got it.
The epoxy will kepp "the rust monster" away from your stripped parts, while you are doing other stuff. and any time after about 2 hours, allways scuff the parts before applying anything to them. (to aid in adhiesion).
