I stripped off a coat of red lacquer from my 1979 MG . Under that I found the original light blue lacquer paint. There is some Bondo on some areas and also some areas where the bare metal is exposed. I'm planning to re-coat with a Base Coat/Clear Coat Urethane. Should I paint over the old paint ? If I do so, could I use Epoxy Primer over the old lacquer paint?
