He said on their listing that only the ones described as Vortecs
are Vortec style comb chambers & ports.

He said the other ones are basically a D shaped comb chamber.
I went through this a while back.. The 180s act like Vortec and outflow, but they are not raised port, at least they don't use the tapered port vortec style gasket. They are preferable, cost more, worth it; raises the bottom a little with a 355.(better ex#s)..perfect for moderate street 383.

I see the start of this thread is three months old. However i ordered a set for my 383 stroker.CC 167 CS.Looking for more torque.Nice heads,about 15 # heavier per head.EQ ,ENGINEQUEST works out of chicago and las vegas. DON in los vegas was really good. phone 800 426 8771.

I was thinking of buying a some 167s so I can use intakes I already have on the shelf. Let us know how that build works out...
