EQ is EngineQuest. They have had big ads in Engine Builder magazine for a couple of months now touting the Lightning head series. As Mike mentioned, it may take some time for the ProTopline heads to get filtered out of the supply lines. That's if one can believe that they are REALLY going to be made by somebody other that ProTopline.

Engine Quest had paid for quite a bit of tooling to have exclusive rights to some of Pro-Toplines heads, mainly new OEM stuff. Last I heard, the bank of NewZealand was going to "run" stuff until inventory was depleated. Pro's debt load is large compared to assets. I have not got wind of anyone dropping down the change for it.

Yes they have. I should have some "good" reviews of them soon. I have 4 customers that have gotten a pallet or 2 of them.

I was told yesterday that there will be a release of some 2000 heads left of the pros that were the old stuff but all the new stuff will be cast by toowoomba and is being inspected by shavers in ca.The new heads are not going to be cast in big lots like the pros were so at first they will be hard to get. They have no intention of selling the heads like pro did.

EQ performance heads

The new EQ heads are in the states now. The flow numbers are better than anything that Pro had ever produced. These heads are made in Australia and have ALL phosphorus guides as opposed to the Manganese / Phos mix. Give Shaver Racing engines a call to get the skinny on this head. The numbers that they came up with on the Dyno were VERY stout. Right now the 220 runner is in along with a small batch of 200 runners. Best thing to do is see them at the PRI show in December. The manufacturer will be there to answer questions. \

FYI re: RHS old Pro Topline inventory

I am hearing that the heads the RHS "CLAIMS" are a new cast iron Pro head are actually 3-4 year old Pro Topline inventory that has been sitting in a warehouse (on COD hold). These heads are coming up with some major rust issues and have the same assembly problems that Pro had b4 they left the industry. Buyer beware !
RHS has no NEW cast iron.
