lazy appraisers

I told one appraiser the Comparables is the way high school drop outs do it. I took a real estate class and there are about half a dozen ways to do an apprasal. rebuild, duplicate, resale, etc, . Most companies that specialize in classic cars have knowledgeable persons on staff or someone that can hire to do the appraisal, Shop around a few companies and find one that will have an agreed value to insure it. I got in the middle of a dispute when I was and engineer at Ford when one of the boss's 55 T Bird had an engine fire, the shop the insurance company sent the car to was mickey mousing it back together, claimed replacement parts were not available.

What kind of truck is it? I have Hagerty and we have an agreed value. I have been happy with them. I'm not sure what insurance company your dealing with but I would never use a normal insurance company to insure a classic or specialty vehicle.

X-2 the regular insurance guys suck!!! Hagerty full coverage premium for whole year is just a bit more than a one month policy of State Farm PLPD
