mid 80's AMC Spirit. We were swapping out the inline 6 for one out of the boneyard. The top center transmission to engine bolt is under the lip of the transmission tunnel. The only way to get it loose (besides pulling motor and tranny together) was to use every 3/8 drive extension and universal my friend and I owned and loosen it from somewhere near the back of the car. The new engine does not have that bolt installed.
