Wal-Mart cuts prices on more drugs

I like the cheap drugs.

I do too, but I don't like Wal-Mart. Even so, I may have to check them out. The cost of my last prescription refill went up 25% at the store across the street from them.

The only part that I don't like about that el-cheapo price is that some (or all) of the component parts of those drugs are made......guess where? China, the home of lead tainted toys and jewelry. And sold....guess where??... Wally World

I haven't seen any Chinese stuff yet. Quite a few of our generics seem to come from India these days.

I am waiting on someone to come up with a generic for Chrestor...at 90 bucks a month, I need a little relief.

Have you ever used Zocor? It's almost the same thing, but there's a generic for it (simvastatin) and it's way cheaper.

OK isn't that one of them custom made drugs that combines 2 into 1???

Well at the risk of having to take 2 pills check to see how much the generic 's cost I usually get my lipitor from my doc in a free sample 2 times the dose & cut them in half.

Why because I is a PO BOY !

If you are taking top tier meds there are no generics because the dope ........

Pharmacutical companies still have to retrieve their profits back ...FROM YOU!




Lemme know if you need a lesson on how to cut lipitor with out it crumbling.

Is 'doing drugs' what I have to look forward to as I gracefully/gracelessly age into my dotage? (Actually I'm just a few points away from cholesterol and blood pressure meds now)

I hear you about the muscle aches. Those "statin" drugs are famous for causing muscle and liver problems. I tried Lipitor, but after 3 weeks or so, I felt like I was wearing cement shoes after walking a mile or so. I discontinued it and the cement went away in ~3 days. My dad can't handle them, either.

Here's something you can look forward to: the patent on Crestor expires in 2016, so there's a generic in your future, if you can stay out of the po'house until then. Sometimes it's cheaper if you get bigger pills and cut them in half with a $4 pill-splitter. That goes for a lot of other newer, brand-name-only drugs, too.

Don't forget to get your bloodwork done every couple of months.

Kinda ironic we used to do dugs to escape reality now we need them to keep reality .
