exaust kit VS muffler shop

i plan on buying a dynomax exaust kit for my car but how would it compare to a exaust shop job? i dont really care what it looks like under the car, just like would the exaust kit leak? any other things to think about?

i love working on my car, doing exaust would be fun so thats not a issue. only really thing worried about is it leaking.

bad things about taking it to the shop is driving with open headers, plus other people working on my car wich im afraid of somthings gona happen to my baby

please give me your thoughts

custom kits

all the custom kits I have ever seen never lined up right, and had to be bent again. also is the kit ou are thinking off made for your exact headers?? it probally won't line up with you headers.

Damn the exuast kit says "Designed to perform with DynoMax headers"

i ordered hooker headers, so u dont think the pipe would line up then?

Like I said most kits that are prebent need to be bent a little more to make fit right and to line up tips anyways so I would exspect it not to be perfect anyways.

I've put on three or four kits. All of them were close enough but none were perfect. No matter how well they make the bends they can never account for things like the possibility of aftermarket parts that may have been installed on the car that could effect how the exhaust fits. Two of the kits I installed were the same part number installed on two different nova's One car blew left side collector gaskets on a regular basis, the other never had any leaks.
