I just switch my 81 cutlass motor from a v6 to a 350 with a 262 lunati cam and short hooker headers and moroso heads would it be best do go with dual exhaust or a single pipe with a flowmaster?

We had duals installed on many cutlasses without issue.

Its all up to your personal preference. Their is some performance to be gained by having the correct size of pipe. If you go single exhaust you would be best to have 2 1/2" or 3" pipe. If you run duals then 2 1/4" pipe would do dandy.

Moroso heads?

Anyway, even if it's a mild build, long tube headers would have been a better choice. Might mean a floor shifter would be needed, though.

If you have the funky crossmember, it's kind of hard to run duals w/o swapping the crossmember for one w/room for dual exhaust. Someone here may have a workaround for this, though.

In a 1980 cutlass that we swapped from a diesel to a 455 the transmission crossmember had a hump on both sides for dual exhaust. I cant promise that yours will be the same but ours was a double.

Not sure either. I seem to remember a '81 Monte having the slanted one that was hard to work with, but doesn't mean that's what he has, but HERE'S one that'll work w/duals if his is the bad one.
