Exhaust for 53 Chevy Pickup
Hello all
I have a problem, i am installing a 2006 Chevy 5.3L vortex engine in my 53 pickup, I am using the stock frame,When i put the engine and tranny in place the exhaust manifolds came almost right smack down on the frame rails!!! I have tried corvette exhaust manifolds, new and older stlye, even block hugger style!! but even they hit the frame rails!!! Can anyone give me a little help on which direction I should try next??? maybe it's simple and i'm just not seeing it so give me some advice!!!! Thank You |

Raise the engine a few inches. You have tons of room to do that.

maybe try flipping the manifolds upside down by putting them on the opposite side, then you can make a custom y pipe if your going to run a single exhaust or work it out for duals, just a thought.
