Exhaust setup enquiry

I would like some help figure this out. I got old Mr. Gasket headers with 3'' collectors and pipes going to turbo mufflers 2.5'' all the way through on my sbc. My question was what is the horsepower rating for 2.5'' pipe . I am using straight headers with no crossover or h pipe. I figure if dyno 2003 is right, I should be close to 500hp.

your journal says you have a Edelbrock RPM street cam and double hump heads...
very likely you entered something wrong in the DD to come up with 500HP from that 350 combo...

here's a Dynomax chart that shows your 2.5" is the normal/correct size

if the car has "street friendly" tall rear gears,,,adding a "H" exhaust balance pipe will likely make it more low rpms responsive

jv,
there are a some stock Chevy head flow articles somewhere in the engine section of the "Knowledge Base" link at the top of this page....

post a new thread question titled: "stock double hump heads flow numbers????"

sorry, I can't help ya....
but just for reference:
stock 461 fuelie heads=44I/41E flow efficiency %
stock 96 Vortec heads=48I/51E flow efficiency
(both with the same valve sizes)
