exhaust system help

Help!! I have a 1987 Chevy Camaro Iroc Z-28. I also have a exhaust tubing bender that will bend up to 3 inch pipe. My question is i want to run true dual exhaust on this car and keep it all 3 inch pipe. I dont have to worry about cats or any smog equipment. Has anybody ever put true dual exhaust on these cars? If so do you have any pictures on how it is done or tell me how itis done? Thank you. If you can help me out ill send a beer your way! HAHA

Years ago a friend of mine had a single 3 inch pipe ran into a dual out flowmaster and it sounded excellant. There was barely enough room for the single pipe much less duals. Unless your running a monster big block or a small block with a blower 3 inch duals are overkill. If your running a small block a 3 inch single pipe is all you need.

3in. is to big.The only benefit you'll see is when your wfo. You'll louse low end torque.I put in all the pipe on my 78 Camaro (2 1/2 in.) I ran it stright down to the axle. But I should of tucked it up into trans tunnel next to the drive shaft.I want to lower it some but cant because of the pipes.Put a cross over on it as close to the headers as possiable.

There are LS powered cars making 500hp on 3" single setups. Save the tubing and the loss of torque you will get with dual 3".
