Exhaust tubing size

I have a '95 LT1 engine from a camaro in my 53 chevy truck. The stock LT1 manifolds wouldn't clear my steering, so I'm using older SBC ones which use 2" exhaust pipes. I'm doing dual exhaust with mandrel bent tubing. The 2" pipe barely clears around the steering shaft. The LT1 in the camaro originally had 2 1/4" pipes until after the engine it went into one 2 3/4". Because of my steering issue and the 2" manifolds, will this be ok for a street driven (not raced) truck? Maybe the more low end power will be of more benefit? How much torque/hp would I be loosing do you think at higher RPM? (I wouldn't rev past 5k ever anyway)

I`d think it`ll be fine, if there are no cat converters it`s less restrictive than the car it came out of. since your not planning on revving over 5 grand a 2 inch dual system should work fine as long as there are`nt any real sharp bends in the pipe.
