EXOTIC Leather fading

Does anyone have expierence with exotic leathers, a friend of mine who had his seat done by a guy who has since moved from the area, is having trouble with his motorcycle seat. The seat is covered in Hammerhead Shark and has faded from black to brown, it has already been "fixed" once by the maker about 9 months ago. This seat is on a custom Harley only caught in the rain once and rarely ridden as it is used more for show purposes. In fact he hasn't even ridden it since the "fix." The seat cost $600, so any help would be appriciated. From what I understand I don't think dye will help since it was factory tanned unlike a veg tanned leather which is dyed after tooling.

You haven't had any responses, so this might be your best bet. Go to the SEM web site and call their 800 number. They should be able to tell you what, if anything, you can do to restore the shark leather. http://sem.ws/?home=1

No one lives forever, the trick is creating something that will.
