Explorer Disc Bbrakes on a 9" Ford Rear End

This tells the whole Explorer disc swap on a ford 9" http://mustangandfords.com/howto/28733/ butt the ford 9" needs the 3/8 Bolt 3.56 x 2' ends (New Big Ford Ends) my buddie just narrowed his 9" rear and put the 1/2" Bolt 3.5 x 2.375 Big Ford Ends on his housing.

the problem we have Now is, that my buddie has already shortened his housing and put on the 77 Big Ford Pickup ends on his 9" housing, that 77 Big Ford Pickup ends take the 1/2 Bolt Not the 3/8 so it don't look like the explorer swap will fit his ends, as he needs the New Big Ford Ends. has anyone else run in to this ? I thought I read where the 92 Crown Vic rear disc swap will fit the 1/2" Bolt Big Ford Ends. NOT THE 3/8" Bolt NEW BIG FORD ENDS the explorer fits. can anyone help me with this ?

I Haven't narrowed my 9" yet so I could go with the New Big Ford Ends.

Looks to me like your Buddy is out of luck.....

Needs another rear end, another set of ends on his housing OR a different kit.....
