F150 rear ends are 8.8 and 9.5. You can check the size, gear ratio and differential by looking at the tag. There will be a top row and bottom row of numbers and letters on the tag. The bottom row will have the information that you need. Starting next to the bolt hole will be the gear ratio. It will be something like 3.73 or 3L.73. If it has the L then it's a Trac Lock. If it doesn't have the L then it's a standard differential. The next set of numbers will be the ring gear size. If it says 8.8 then it's the 8.8 rear end. So if it's 3L.73 8.8 then you have a 3.73 gears with Trac Lock and 8.8 gear.
