external to internal voltage regulator

I have a 70 chevelle malibu that is equipt with an external voltage regulator and I have an alt. on a new engine I put in that has internal voltage regulation. How do I change the wiring from external? Or would it be better to get another alt?

Regulator

Doc here,

Is that a 1 or 3 wire Alternator?

A 1 wire is simple, just run the 10 gauge red to a proper fuse link and connect at the starter solenoid main cable bolt..and your good to go..

If it's a 3 wire...STOCK <--read) wiring is as follows...

Ignore the second red...It's used in 81 models only...
