I am wondering if I can fabricate a header adapter gasket from 1/8" - 1/4" metal plate to properly mate the square head exhaust ports to the oval header ports?
Instead of fabricating an adapter plate, I would fabricate a flange and cut the header tubes off the old flange and weld them onto the new one. If you fabricate an adapter, you will have to use 2 gaskets instead of 1.
