Wink Factory A/C

So what do you guys think is better to buy...
factory a/c or new a/c unit.
This is for a 61 Chevy Pickup.
I didn't think I was going to need it until it got pretty hot out here the other day. The cab was a cookin'!!

Go new and improved, factory stuff is way spendy and clutters up everything. Get a new pretty under dash hide-a-A/C better blower units and other good stuff, plus your already set up for the new refrigerant. Thats just what I say, but what do I know, A/C makes me sick so I always take it out.

Ahhhhh, I love a/c. I don't know how you can handle the weather in the South with out it HK. Anyway, do you have any suggestions about a brand or good company to use? I think new a/c units are pretty expensive, right?
You see I found an ad where this guy would sell his factory a/c unit. What do you think about the price, etc?

Right now, I'm more concerned with replacing the windshield (which is going to cost me a pretty penny). It isn't just cracked, but also pitted, so when the sun hits it just right, darn it's hard to see!

Not me A/C literally make me sick. I'm intercooled, very low body tempreture and I never swet. No one knows why, its just another one of my oddities.

That A/C unit sound like a good buy if it works. vents are easy to find or make. I hear you on the windsheild thing, I drove my bros '72 K-5 (in my album) one morning and his windsheild was the same way, the coat of frost didn't help either and every road in beaufort county seems to be desighned for the sun to be dead on smack dab in your eyes at the peak driving hours. I was doing the ace ventura thing all the way to work. With no power steering it was a real chore, I tain't very big, it was like trying to steer a fat person away from the buffet. Crazy I tell ya just crazy!

LOL HK, I can just picture that.
BTW, best line from Ace Ventura movie...
"If I'm not back in 5 minutes, wait longer."

I'll email the guy and see what he has to say. Thanks
