Factory Camaro trickery

Even though what we have today eclipses the old tech of 40-plus years ago in every way imaginable (we are NOW living in the Golden Age of high performance, make no mistake about that!), 1969 was a year to remember as far as high performance factory iron was concerned. High winding small blocks, thumping big blocks, and factory trickery were all alive and well.

Can you imagine the system below being installed into a vehicle today? Instead of this crude but fun set up, now it's all done by computer. How the times have changed!
