Fair price?
im going to be pulling the engine out of my twin turbo iroc soon and will put it up for sale on my local forums problem is i dont know how much to ask
its a fresh sbc 355 about 500 miles on it gm forged crank std/std gm rods that have been resized shot peened strees relived with arp waveloc bolts speed pro popup pistons 9.2-1 cr summit 224/224 cam and edelbrock 234/244 cam edl currently installed ported 882 heads , stainless valves port matched tpi intake i will also be in cluding the twin turbo headers but no turbos or wastegates. along with that ill be selling ir without injectors so basically a complete longblock and a set of twin turbo headers i was thinking around 1,200 bucks sound fair? or is that to cheap/expensive for what it is |
i guess i should have added its in a 0010 4 bolt block .030 over
|
unless you plan on getting 300.oo I'd leave it in the car so the buyer can hear/see it running..
low miles or not.. if I can't see it run.. it's a core as far as paying money to buy it.. receipts for the parts/machine work will help.. 1200.oo isn't out of line if you have proof of the work and parts.. but at 1200.oo I want to hear it run.. and be able to pull the pan and look at a main bearing.. good luck.. |
i kinda agree with gearhead
hearing it run is big... i'd never put that money into a motor i can't hear.. but if u want to pull the pan and ck the bearings???
U BETTER B BRING'N A PAN GASKET TOO... or no dice.. |
you can weld right? Just build a little stand out of steel so you can start it on the stand
|
thaks guys i put it up for sale now so potential buyers could hear it runin the car / go for a test drive if ti dosent sell before i pull it ill build a lil engine stand it can be run on.
only thing i dont have paper work for is the rods , but it is obvious if u pull the pan off if the engine dont sell ill prolly drop it in my silverado 2500 with a milder cam |
All the good stuff gone
Show someone it's running then take off all the good stuff $300 is more then fair!! my new 2 cents!!
