Famous photo of dragster dropping crank?

My dad told me about a famous picture of a dragster that was taking off and the motor blew and spit parts out and you can see the crank coming through the oil pan, or something along those lines. Ive looked pretty well but I can seem to find it. Any one know what hes talking about, Id love to see it.

IIRC it was a Fiat fuel altered. It would have either been in Hot Rod or Car Craft. I remember seeing the photo. You can see the crank in the ball of flame under the car.

There were two photographers who clicked at the same time, and saw the explosion at differing angles.
The two pictures finally came together and can be bought, I just cannot remember which site they are on.

Here are the pics from the advert, to see full size you have to buy.

BTW how do you see Hot Rod art in this ?

I had never seen these photos before - a great OOPS.

I did see a super modified stock car do something like that at a "run whatcha brung" race. It was a blown BB Chebbie - and he dumped the entire innards of the motor - crank, oil, flywheel and misc big and small unidentifiable pieces of iron and aluminum right in front of me. No pictures though - dang it.

Dave

I can remember seeing some kind of blown, maybe Top Fuel engine exploding the supercharger. It is quite a picture. You can see the rotors in the air spinning.
