Why don't you have room in front of the motor? Putting a shroud in front of the radiator is a mistake generally. The object of the shroud is to force air being blown or sucked by the fan to go THROUGH the radiator instead of around it.

So, the only way you can shroud a fan on the front of the radiator is to push the air IN, as sucking the air out would be counter productive as the car is moving down the road, right?

So, you have this beautiful shroud and electric fan blowing air in thru the radiator, what about the air that hits shroud and fan as you drive down the road? It's NOT going to be able to go through the radiator because there is a shroud in the way! So the ONLY air you will get thru the radiator is what is able to get thru the opening in the shroud where the fan is mounted, not a good idea.

Let's get back to why you can't mount it in front of the motor.
