I remember every one of those cars, saw many of them at the shows. The Barber car is GAUDY oh my God it is stupid. But many of them were pretty fun without being so stupid. The fire truck I remember very well, it still is one of my favorite cars. It has perfect porportions and just looks great.
The tiller steering is scary! But the car looks cool! Brian

You used to be able to buy a fiberglass C-Cab for a few hundred bucks, but i went looking for one, and couldn't find one. It was probably only good for dragsters.
One good thing about the Rat Rod idea, is that they are supposed to be driven to the show. And the humor in many of these show cars and some of the rats is admirable.. If you can afford to spent many K for a joke.

Oh my God, I searched all over the other day to find a photo of this car! How did you find it? This is the lowest form of custom car in my humble opinion, my God what a joke. It's the "Jumping the shark" (Happy days reference
 ) of show cars.Brian

there is "Unsafe at any speed" and then there is Unsafe standing still. But as sculpture....
The Paul Revere And the Raiders car (?) is pretty funny. But that's why i liked Roth, he didn't make things looked like other things, he made things that were weird all by themselves.

Just in case it gets missed, on the "Bathtub buggy" the toilet paper rolls out front, they are the brake and gas pedals!!!

 However if you recreated it today, it would have to be a Lite Beer to deal with the high cost of fuel!
