Fastback top chop
I´m going to top chop my Chevy fleetline -50 and I´m wondering if anyone of you ever made that kind of a chop... any ideas, suggestions? would really appreciate some pics of the jobs if it´s possible.

check out the project of the week, specifically Dr. Chops Kustom sledd. he did a righteous chop on it. :thumbup:

I have'nt done one of those yet, but with the number of bookstores popping up all over the place, I'd be looking for Tex Smith's "How to Chop Tops". It's very informative and even if you are working on an oddball model, most if not all the steps common to a particular roof design will help out with an orphan. Believe it or not, I don't have that book in my 'library' at home, but the local public library does... I've checked it out more than once. Probably under $20 or so from the local bookstore, even if they have to order it, or you may be able to find it at Amazon.com...

thanks for the info on the book on chop top methods. I just ordered it from amazon, so hopefully it will be in by next week sometime. I am planningon chopping the top of my70 impala, so it should be a fun project.
