Favorite Ford 9" gear brand??

Hey all,

Was wondering if anyone has any "loves" or "hates" on gears for the 9" Ford.

Anyone tried the Summit house brand or Jeg's house brand gears?

Thanks for any info! jer.

I only use Factory FORD gears ... no aftermarket. For me ... they set up easier and are a LOT quieter. The down side is that the original FOMOCO gears are getting hard to find. The last two sets I got ... I got off eBay ... and fortunately they wee reasonable. Brand new in the factory FOMOCO box. $110 for a 3.50 gear set and $88 for a 3.25 gear set.

I installed the 3.50 gear in a Strange aluminum case for my 32 3W ...
Anything like a 4.11 or 4.57 is almost impossible to find in original FOMOCO issue.

That is good info, thanks.

I would trust Currie or Strange for their gears.

Proper set-up and break-in is a must. You don't get a second chance.

Ditto. I have found the quality to be spot on.
