Favorite magazine cover of all time

Do you have a favorite rod magazine cover? This R&C cover from September 1963 is far and away my favorite. One of the first ones I ever picked up on the news stand when I discovered cars, yellow which is of course the best color of all time, great photos of Ed Roth and the Mysterion which are the best customizer and custom car of all time, great articles from cover to cover, and is there any doubt? In fact when this issue comes up for auction on ebaY it rarely ever goes for less than $10.

Mine would have to be the very first Hot Rod mag I had.
It was from the very early sixties, featured "Those 200mph Fuelers"
and an Alison powerd drag boat, plus Hawaiian drags.I took that mag everywhere until it finally fell to pieces.
I have searched for it on e-bay but as I donīt know the exact month/year itīs proving hard to find.
Edit : Well, this must be it, searched all of ebay again.
Not an outstanding cover just for nostalgic reasons, but you have to love two
front motored fuelers smoking off the line.

Willys, did not have to open the thread to know there was going to be a Mysterion on the cover. Looks like you may need to start looking for a mint mag cause yours may have been drooled on too much.

A few years ago Hot Rod Magazine had a cover of a white 68 Mustang coming over a hill with all four tires in the air. In the write up about the car they said that the air shot was the owners idea. They put a camera man in the road and he had to get his picture and get out of the way quickly.

It's cool that someone would invest so much time and money and still drive it that way. It sounds like something I would do.

I don't have the cover to show.

I didn't think this one was too bad when I was a teenager, Bobbie brown, aka girl in the video for warrent's cherry pie and ex of warrent singer jani lane and tommy lee from motley crue. Also going through another magazine noticed that carmens diaz's sister was the model for one of the feature cars probably about 16 years old at the time.

I just won an auction on ebay for the first Hot Rod mag I ever had, February 1965, the one I posted above.
I also bought a yearsworth of Hot Rod 1961, with features like the Ivo four motored dragster and the car pictured on the Beach Boys album Little Deuce Coupe.
Hope to have them in my sweaty palms soon.
