This is just thinking out loud so don't get freaked out about it until some ford guy answers but,, was there some deal with certain FE engines where you needed to 360 deg mains to feed the rods because of the location of the oil hole?????
I really do not know why i am thinking that but it just popped into my head... Like i said don't get freaked out because i could, and probably am totally wrong. I might be getting it confused with another engine family...
If that is a none issue i would use the bearings that only had the top groove... 360 degree mains are not needed IMO...

Hey Kult.I am working on a '67 390 right now.We ordered a kit from PAW and to my amazement it included a set of Clevite 77 fully grooved main bearings.Problem is that the oil holes on the mains do not exactly line up with the holes on the bearings.Any comments? Thanks Paulo

Thanks K.I just got hold of a good book by Steve Christ. They mention this misalignment and the cure. By the way, don't you have a set of rocker shafts with spacers and springs? We need to buy them. Our 390 is missing some bits.
Sorry about not replying sooner. It seems this NEW POSTS feature doesn'twork correctly.
The shafts, spacers and springs are still available from vendors such as PERFECT CIRCLE I believe.
