FE question

Hi All, Does anyone know if the fuel filter canister is being reproduced for the 406 and 427 FE engines? Or where to find a good used one. Thanks.

I am much more familiar with the FE engine being in pickups, I have a 1966 F250 with a 410, built from the original 352, with the help of a 428 crankshaft, and a 1974 F250 Super cab, with a 390.

The 1966 came with a canister type fuel filter on the bottom of the stock fuel pump.

When I replaced the fuel pump on the 1974, I asked for the 1966 fuel pump to get the canister type fuel pump.

FE question reply to reply

Hi, the fuel filter canister that you are thinking of is the kind that screws on to the fuel pump. Those can be bought new from many vendors. The one I need is a complete canister with a top with the fuel inlet and outlet set up to accept the 3/8" inverted flaired fittings and houses the filter element. Thanks for responding though.
