featherfill with a 1.8 tip?

I would like to use feather fill on my project but the largest tip I have is a 1.8.
I have a devilbiss hvlp and also an older devilbiss JGA 502 with a pressure pot. I'm sure the hvlp won't work but what about the pressure gun? I really don't want to buy another gun just to spray this but if I can get one cheap enough I will consider it.
Thanks.

Ed

Can you reduce it a little bit? Check the p sheet. It probably won't build as much reduced, but you can just shoot an extra coat.

I had to overreduce slick sand to shoot through a 2.0 tip. Otherwise, it shot dry, dry, dry.

You should be fine with the 1.8 tip.
