Feathering?

Howdy,

I have a limited amount of time per month on an internet connection here at the apt, we all share it.

Anywho, I have a on going project (1965 Dodge Power Wagon), that I'm starting to piece together, its already dropped and chopped.

The question isn't for that, its fora car with paint already on it. I've been doing spot fills on another car and I've filled it, sanded it and primed it, not to feather or blend the primer to be level with the paint on its edges, how do I do this, really fine grit, wet sand or what?

I know this seems like a begin'rs question and i should have searched, but I'm limited to 30 mins a day here due to the fact of shift work etc.

Regards,
Gered

By feathering you are blending the repair into the surrounding area with fine abrasive. Using a semi-hard block, like a piece of rubber for a sanding block, will help level the low spots and knock down the high spots resulting surface that is very similar to the original.
