My mom has a 74 challenger that had the 'strobe stripes' along the rocker area if I remember correctly. 318 with an automatic...stylin and profilin! I 'helped' put a set of bilboard stripes on. My god what a SNAFU that was. Never again.

Lots of soapy water and 2 helpers 2 to hold straight 1 to smooth the air bubbles from the center out.lol

That is the only thing I have ever heard them called..even on barrett Jackson. Mine had NO stripes at all ,no scoop and a flat hood ,no air or pb ,only optoon was ps .I did not order it it was on the lot some one ordered it and then did not take it ,383 Cuda .an Ugly shade of gold.

LOL no. I'd rather ask guys who were there than play revisionist history. I mean Im sure guys had tall T's with fenders and steelies, but it wasn't common.

I usually ask stuff like this because it leads to story telling and I also find the way "hotrod fashion" changed geographically to be fascinating. For example, you didn't see many severely raked out choppers here in the 60s and 70s because our streets are narrow and filled with potholes; but out west? Different story. According to my Dad and his buddies, there are more cars on cragar s/s rims now in our town than there ever was when they were kids, too damn expensive for a bunch of poor farmers. I think my Dad spent a weeks pay on a Hurst shifter in 1969
